[Discussion] Does madara have ems/ms?

Does madara still have the ems? Some people argue that he lost it after his fight with the 1st hokage.

While the above photos are in favor of him not having ems anymore, how did madara control the 9 tails without it? This link is against:

So, did madara find a new way to tame the 9 tails, or does he still have ems?

I feel the same way, though i'd like to hear both sides and get the opinion of people who feel he no longer has his ems........after all, why would he choose to hide its shape?

We don't know if the intangibility is due to the ems or not for sure.

I'm gonna have to say He doesn't. because the point of EMS was that the user wouldn't go blind. we know you can de-activate sharingan, but to de-activate EMS (even though it has no side effects) it'd have to revert to MS first, but how could that happen if you've got 2 sets of sharingan? it wouldn't revert at all because you don't just have one MS anymore, you've got 2, one of which isn't yours so it has no shape to revert to. basically what i'm saying is, due to having 2 sharingan, it can't be deactivated because you can no longer revert to MS then to the Tomoes. that's my opinion until proven otherwise by Kishi.

I see.....logical opinion, but we don't know what kind of mechanics are involved in an ems, it could just bypass the ms stage altogether and go to the 3 tomoes straight away.

no, either EMS receeds into 3 Tomoe and bypasses MS, or he has Neither EMS or MS. he was blind, so he got Izuna's eyes. hence EMS, he can't have MS again, he would be blind.

he has Eternal Mankegyo Sharingan, it doesnt however constantly stay active , he can revert back to sharingan tomo 3 and the eternal mangekyo sharingan merely means that his mangekyo sharingan doesnt have limits now to its ability to weaken the user so to answer you question yes he does.

I suppose it all comes down to what other jutsus/abilities does madara have or is known to have had( NOT including the senju powers). If it were possible to master space time teleportation techniques without the use of seals like the 4th, then maybe its possible that power is not due to his eyes. Another important point against madara having ems is that what power exactly did he lose against the 1st that currently makes him a shell of his former self? Supposedly, his ems was what made him the head of his clan initially so maybe he still has ems but the powers it wields are now restricted?

I say no, because he admits he is a shell of his former self. I think the First Hokage laid a ass whoopin on him that has made him have to seek other methods out to be powerful. Madara still looses a awful amount of fights. I think he as Uchiha is the eternal loser.

He founded akatsuki, controlled the 9 tails twice and is the single biggest threat to the entire shinobi world.......your opinion is waaaaaaaayyy off track.
Besides, the fight with the 1st gave him senju cells.

The fact that Tobi has controlled the 9 tails does not mean he has EMS. Tobi himself says during the sasuke/ danzo fight that danzo has the ability to control the 9 tails because he had sharingan + senju DNA.

We all know that Tobi has uchiha and senju DNA so thats what he used to control the fox.

I hope kishi is hiding something AMAZING under Tobi's mask. There has to be a reason he still wont show us Tobi's face....

We still don't know Madara's true powers(except his time-space travel tech) and so its hardly impossible to say whether he has it or lost it

Well he does say power of 'hashirama'......not senju.Though i did'nt remember that link, but hashirama had many powers( sealing jutsus)etc, that's how he had control over all 9 tailed beasts. But still, the question is whether madara has ems or not?
Btw, even if i were to accept your contention, whatever technique it was must have been if anything more powerful than izanagi , yet madara still had both eyes when he fought konan and if he had used that uchiha-hashirama technique its hard to imagine he would'nt lose an eye(or more).
Izanagi controls your personal reality so i think that page refers to it, if the personal reality includes the 9 tails you would obviously control that too so madara's statement was kishi spicing things up.

Normaly you go from 3 tom Sharingan > MS
When you have the EMS, You go from 3 tom Sharingan > EMS

The EMS is the same as MS without side effects and maybe more powers.

He can't use the normal MS anymore, cause when u have 3 tom Sharingan, u can't use 2 tom Sharingan anymore, it's the same thing.

Personaly i think he hides his brothers eyes and uses (used till now) someone else his eyes.
