darui had the gourd, so I would say its safe to assume that the weapons dont work on the people weilding them. Kinkaku had the rope on his arm but his soul never came out, so while darui is holding the gourd it wont seal him...IMO

True. special weapons never affect their users unless specifically stated otherwise or unless the point of it is to surprise the user. The story loses its focus if the reader keeps thinking about the consequences of every single attack. Not that in naruto you would get many chances.

Side effects are secondary. chidori doesn't burn the user's hand and I, personally, never thought it should.

I have a wild guess.... Perhaps only "male" possessors of kyuubi's chakra have wiskers... Nothing else seems to make any sense... And how did naruto get whiskers?? Well he was born in the womb of a kyuubi host, perhaps some of kyuubi's chakra got mixed up with naruto before he was born....!

It's plausible that kishi only intended male jinchuriki to have whiskers. Wouldn't they look awful on kushina's rose cheeks? I'd be disgusted. But what I thought was that only those who are immersed in kyubi chakra gain those traits. Like when naruto was inside a jinchuriki. The gin kin brothers also ate kyubi flesh while being surrounded by its chakra for two weeks. Jinchuriki have their biju chakra sealed inside them. Under normal circumstances, it doesn't leak. And even small leaks aren't powerful enough to change physical traits.

I'm not sure about bee's ink, but it's different from naruto's marks, which were never mentioned in the plot, they're just a decoration. The initial story was about a demon fox, later changed into a boy.

Yeah, we were too concerned with the staff and who knows what other tools he'd use. including the necklace. But I prefer another pot than what had been suggested (or naruto having it). It also fits in with the previous mentioning of the jar.

I'm wondering if they'll be able to reuse that thing a few more times, and what its capacity is. And if it got stolen by the enemy forces! That would be the last thing they needed.

I said it in the second post and linked the pic of the 3rd raikage using it to seal the 8 tails.

Shikamaru says that Kinkaku defeated 2nd hokage.

What do you think guys? Does this means he killed him or he only defeated him and left him on the brink of death like it was previosly mentioned in manga?

Obviosly there is some connection between Kinkaku and Ginkaku brothers, and kinkaku force.
It was said that Kin-Gin bros attempted coup de'tat against second Raikage so maybe this Kinkaku force with Kinkaku as their leader or captain tried to kill of Raikage and take over the village for themselves with Kinkaku as the new Raikage or smth.

Yea i guess it's better this way. Now they have another way to seal all those souls. That is if it can be reused over and over, along with a high capacity.

Wow . . . Naruto for one page? I'm getting so impatient. Although I know every chapter can't be an influential one, I at least need to see SOMETHING soon. Sasuke? yes we are. read the manga again. before being totally absorbed into the pot, kinkaku says: "how could the two lights be beaten by a bunch of no-name losers?!". if Ino was still in kinkaku she would've asked for help. this words show us that the one who is sealed is really kinkaku. page 17.

As silly as it sounds but this could be possible if Dan is from the Namikaze clan.

Some of the things match, like for example that both Dan and Minato wanted to become Hokage, and men tend to go after girls like their mother, that's why Minato fell inlove with Kushina whose personality is similar to Tsunades (same thing with Naruto and Sakura).

Hmm... Very slim chances for that... I do not think that minato was son of tsunade... Cuz tsunade was shown single, and also she had insulted minato infront of naruto and jiraiya, when jiraiya was teaching rasengan to naruto and had told her to become 5th hokage... She said about minato that "throwing his life away so young, money is one thing a life is another, to risk ur life against all the odds, its a SUCKER's bet"... Now these were infuriating comments, and i don't think she would have said these things about her own son, if minato was her son, which is unlikely.... I'll post manga link as soon as i find it...

Come to think of it, wouldn't jiraiya have known this if it was true?? I think tsunade never married, and i won't forgive kishi if he made out minato to be illegitimate son of tsunade.... I'll murder kishi...

Good chapter. Would have like to see more indept fighting and abilities. Ginkaku and kinkaku were both strong fighters in there history..I wouldn't consider them to be weak..only reason the Alliance won against them two is because they know the secret of the weapons and how they work.

If these weapons were summon then they should remain on the battle field which will benif the aliance in sealing those who was summon by kabuto. Overall great chapter. Shikimaru vs Asuma should be great..Aliance still have their hands full..
