yes, another itachi thread, i know, no need to remember.

no, saying that sasuke without MS beat Itachi and with MS was barely able to beat danzo does not make for a good (valid) argument. Danzo and Itachi have different fight styles and Itachi DID NOT want to kill sasuke at any point during their fight.

no, I don't think Itachi wins. I am not sure who wins yet, I will start my debate later on after I gather some facts.

Considering Itachi is a genius of the sharingan, he would have use the tsukyoumi almost the same way sasuke did. Itachi can do just about everything sasuke did technique wise, and considering he was smarter than sasuke, i believe he would win. If danzou could kill itachi he would have after the uchiha clan was massacred.

itachi would win, danzo had the bootleg sharingan and pretty much wasted them easily, i dont think he meant to have them for a proper battle rather they were a way to escape death.

Itachi's strongest moves : tsukyiomi (should work), susanoo (danzo might be able to evade using izanagi and itachi doesn't have that much chakra in him), amaterasu (not sure)

Danzo's strongest moves : izanagi (should give him the edge in this fight), shisui's eye (not sure if it affects Itachi because we know for a fact that he killed shisui and itachi had only a 3tomoe sharingan back then)

Itachi would win this battle. Sasuke is a more up and close fighter than Itachi which made it difficult to battle against Izanagi. Danzo could just tank the attacks while attacking himself, wheres against Itachi I don't think he would have that luxury. Then you have to consider how well Danzo would be able to handle Tsukiyomi from Itachi compared to Sasuke. Danzo himself said Sasuke's Tsukiyomi was weak compared to Itachi's. I think Itachi's Tsukiyomi would have a similar effect on Danzo as it had on Kakashi, or slightly less, but that would still be enough to incapacitate him. Then on top of that Itachi's Susanoo had the Yata Mirror and Sword of Totsuka.

The only chance Danzo would have is if he drew the fight out long enough for Itachi's MS to kill him.

Though we never got a chance to see how good Danzo was with Shisui's sharingan as it was recovering during his battle with Sasuke, so who knows.

This is probably the first "Itachi vs .." were i'm actually voting for Itachi. you would have to compare how Sasuke did agaisnt Danzo and think if Itachi would be able to duplicate or even do better than that.

Itachi was definently still alot stronger than Sasuke when Sasuke faced Danzo so it would make sense for Itachi to win this fight.

im going to be the odd one out and say danzo. Here's why:
1. Itachi was an anbu captain under direct orders from danzo, so danzo probably had a lot of info on him.
2. All anbu members are bound in some way, like the curse on sai where he could'nt say anything about danzo. Itachi may have had some such thing implanted on him as well, which would inhibit his ability to fight.
3. Izanagi can overcome both ametarasu and susanoo, and itachi won't spam the former tech like sasuke did.

im going with itachi 100% victory, danzo is a joke without his izangi... all itachi has to do is force danzo to use izangi to avoid his susano and then when the last eye closes he can just use the sword to seal danzo away with orochimaru or even hit him with amaterasu and watch his sorry ass burn to death. my personally opinion is that danzo is and always was trash, without the stolen sharingans he is just another nobody.

You're mixing up Root and Anbu. Danzo was the head of Root, which was an offshoot of Anbu directly under Danzo's control. Itachi was part of the ANBU Black Ops, but not a part of Root.

You're mixing up Root and Anbu. Danzo was the head of Root, which was an offshoot of Anbu directly under Danzo's control. Itachi was part of the ANBU Black Ops, but not a part of Root.

How do you know what we know and dont?
If Danzo was just playing around with Sauske why the hell didnt he just kill his ass and move on to do what ever it is he wanted to do as Hokage? He played around with "fire" and got his ass burned. Itachi was more than enough to keep Danzos ass in check that was the reason for his return to the leaf once he found out that the third died.

Itachi would've destroyed Danzo much faster and in a completely different way than Sasuke and it's due to his mastery of Tsukyomi. Sasuke has been the only person capable of escaping the technique, there's no way Danzo could've withstood that if "Copy Cat Kakashi" couldn't with his mastery of the Sharingan. Itachi was even skilled enough to trap Orochimaru in his genjutsu. And speaking of Orochimaru, let's not forgot that Itachi weilded two of the three legendary items when using Susanoo, so Izanagi would've been useless since Itachi wouldn't have to KILL Danzo just seal him.

Itachi would win. I don't think Danzo ever had any chance against him. The reason Itachi obeyed Danzo was probably he agreed with him that it was necessary for the safety of rest of the village and off course Madara was already his teacher- sort of. We still have no idea how much Danzo and Madara knew about each other but I digress...
