Hiruzen didn't get trolled. He was trapped in a basically 3 on 1 battle. He had to do it on the fly, and besides he was trying to take out Orochimaru as well. Its not like he went to the chuunin exams with materials needed for sealing. He wasn't prepared for that type of battle. In the war each division has their own sealing team ready to seal or incapacitate any resurrected shinobi.

We only saw the 3rd's techniques when he was old and had been decommissioned from Hokage once... I don't think the fight with Oro was accurate to portray his talent at the peak of his abilities as the "God of Shinobi" or "Professor".

I guess he didn't have enough sealing techs available to him at that time that he could use in that situation... Although that is kinda strange because the uzumaki and senju were supposed to be distantly related with a good relationship between the villages.

The uzumaki were supposed to be sealing jutsu experts. I would have expected to see more sealing techs in the whole manga...

Sasori wasn't fully bound, he kept his emotions, which allowed him emotional leeway to have his soul leave his body.

Sai's brother, same shit. Different toilet.

Zabuza wasn't "sealed". He was immobilized. He had his emotions killed because he is now fully controlled by Kabuto. He has no emotions, no personality. Just his fighting abilities.

Asuma is "immobilized" as well. He isn't sealed. So unless they sway him emotionally enough, or rip his soul out there is nothing that can be done.

I dunno, I believe he could've sealed the 1st an 2nd without the sacrifice but orochi changed the game and was to powerful. He had to take on three at once and was going for the kill. I think the death god was for orochi only but..... He was supposed to be smarter than that.

People, did we forget that the 3rd Hokage shadow cloned, then sealed 2 souls & oro's arms (would've been his soul if he wasn't dying). At the end of that EPIC battle, he still had enough chakra left to do all that. Rejection of trollage imho!

Those Sealings that's going on now is not permanent. >_> If they break the seal they're free. Hiruzen sealed their soul for good meaning that they cannot return. Hiruzen was awesome and still is.

There was no one to capture the IWR for hiruzen so that he could seal them..
he didnt have the sealing pots that sealed the kin gin...
the only thing we have seen in the war is
1) soul freed : would not happen to oro iwr
2) kin gin sealed : with sealing pot that hiruzen didnt have
3) IWR binded : yes people, binded not sealed using the cloth bind techinuqe that belongs to suna

Sealing a body takes time. Hiruzen was an old man facing Oro and the 1st and 2nd hokages. The Alliance forces knew the were up against Edo tensei bodies, Hiruzen didn't wake up and say today I face edo tensei I should prepare myself. Unless you have a jutsu like Kakashi and Tobi's space-time its next to impossible to stop them or another method could be that jutsu that takes away the control of a summoning the jutsu the 4th used on Tobi to release control of the kyuubi.

Also in order to seal on would need a medium to seal it in. Like a pot, those clothes, a human or a death god. Hiruzen did the best he could considering the situation. He also unwillingly helped the alliance. Could you imagine the devastation on the battle field if the 1st and 2nd were fighting together full power, they would make the gold & silver brother look like gennins.

What a stupid question...Obviously like other have said,the third was not expecting his predecessors to be revived and the battle was sealed so sarutobi needed to think on the fly(plus he did'nt have time to bring sealing tools).Remember, that the guy was saving konaha from destruction, and The talk no jutsu couldn't work, since oro wiped their emotions.

So he was not trolled but you should....
