Fire and Lightning cant destroy each other unless Fire has a more solidified nature like the techniques that can break through concrete and that dragon song flame technique. Then yeah it would be lightning.

Piggy backing on Typhon's post as well,you can however only need to use the technique once as its constant chakra inserting so once you activate it you can use it freeform in changing its shape and such but move that like creates a chakra wave and such will cause the technique to end(Crimson Slicing Wave for example)
