Has it ever been shown that the bugs are capable of sensing and tracking chakra?

The bugs are chakra sensors but when the user placed a female bug on a target, the scout bugs use the smell of the female to track the target. Another thing the user can send out scouts to find chakra if they couldn't place a female bug on a target.

So, has it been shown that they can sense chakra? In the series, that is.

Yea of course, they feed on chakra so chakra is their food which is why they have to have the chakra sensing ability.

Just because they feed on the chakra of their host doesn't mean they're able to sense chakra from other people over any sort of distance. Wouldn't chakra sensing make using the female as a tracking signal kind of pointless?

I'm just asking because I've seen people use this ability in the RP but I have no memory of seeing it in the manga and it isn't mentioned on the aburame or kikaichu wiki pages.

A female bug can be left on a target and then they can be tracked by smell, or scout bugs can be sent out and return to tell the host information about the area.

That's the only tracking ability I see on their wiki page.

Well I had an Aburame bio like a year ago and I research through the manga and anime on the bugs. I got the knowledge that they were chakra sensors but not a real good one, hints the reason they use the female bug for scent because of the insects and animals scent to, you know where I am going at with this one. Now wiki, I try staying away from there when I am looking up the abilities for a bio I thinking of using. I use wiki just to copy and paste the history and that is all.

Bugs can only track the signal of a female bug, people forget that in the RP and misuse them, same as the tracking seeds in wood release, i have had the tracking seeds issue resolved by our lovable Scorps, i may ask about the bugs next.

Where in the manga have you seen the nano bugs being control like the normal bugs? Nowhere, the nano bugs are basically close range taijutsu bugs. When the user uses his body while his clothing are missing he can use the bugs no other time what so ever. They probably can coat a weapon but it wouldnt be a fast coat over the weapon.

Say, I was caught in gen, I know Hyugas can detect whether they are under gen by detecting/looking at their own chakra flow.

My questions are
1. upto which rank gen they can break or can they break any genjutsu?
2. Can they just break gen without moving a muscle just by controlling their chakra flow.?

1) depends on the jutsu you use to break from that jutsu
2) no, they can't, if you meant it as without any jutsu

now that isn't really clear, if i remember correctly only those who were shown to be able to use Rain which means Nagato and Yahiko i think

Why not? As the bugs breed to become stronger not weaker. The base of the bugs is to eat chakra, but these bugs can also poison people; why would they lose their better abilites?

But yea a Upper could shine a better light on this.

Mig being a sensei shouldn't you be familiar with most of the Cannon techniques? After all, your job is to teach them, you can't teach something you don't know. (No offense intended )
