I don`t pride myself in this(But I do),I have taken part in a DDoS attack,took about 17 people to DDoS with full power at the highest rate for about 5 hours.

How am I wrong?

Peoples having no clues what we are talking let me explain by an example

Imagine A and B are trying to have a conversation. C wants to run a denial of service (DDOS)attack against A so he simply talks to A constantly to the point of B not being able to have her conversation with A. So this is easily stopped if A starts ignoring C and he can have a regular conversation with B.

C, wants a better method to ruin any conversations that A has. So he recruits D and E to help . C, D and E now continuously talk at A. This is a distributed denial of service attack. If A was speaking to large volumes of people it would be very difficult to determine who just wanted to speak legitimately.

So relating that to a real world example, A could be a website and everyone else could be requesting a web page. Given enough load the web server will become slower and may crash - thus causing nothing to be served.

I sometimes get kicked/ logged out of NB randomly. Like I post something and it tells me I have to be signed in when I already was. It was weird. idk if it has to do with the virus or what.

Every forum has a certain set time that if a user isn't active for that set amount of time they are logged out automatically.
Also, it's not a virus..not close to one.

yea but its not like I got up and left the computer and came back. it would happen when I signed in clicked on a thread and tried to post and it would say 'sorry but you have to log in to do this action.' and I would have just signed on and was active the whole time.

Actually, they WERE flaming each other. I was there. Gore, Midgets, you name it. I just assumed other /b/tards might've been trying to take the flaming further for lulz. i knew that the site has been over loaded but never imagined it to be one of a cyber attack . i also read in some thread that V is always managing the site so i knew he would be solving it.
BTW what do they actually do?

Well to perform a ddos attack, you usually require many programs that are specifially for ddos attcking. They aren't so simple to do either.(depending on how bad you want to screw people over)
All they do is over load the server.But they do this by installing crap on users of the forum. Which then crashes the server. Then the site goes down. It happens to twitter, facebook all the time.
There are simple ways to fix it, we'll the simple methods on really work if they do not considering continuing after being stopped once. And another method would be using a server cap. Which limits the amount of bandwidth usage. Which would be such a draaag. But the simple method is blocking the ips the attack is coming from, but like I said that is only if they are only doing this for a short period of time and have no intention on moving locations to continue and if they are retarded.

Well considering I don't have experience doing it, I would have to say it is automatically done through the programs. I would imagine it would be difficult manually.
