please explain the range of combinational jutsus...
- I mean if supposedly a short range fire jutsu is used in combination with a long range wind jutsu will it reach the long range or will the flame die at mid range?
- Now my second combinational range question is supposedly we use lightning jutsu in combination with a suiton jutsu please explain to me with examples upto what range will this go?? I mean water conducts electricity almost indefinitely so as long as the source supplies electricity the entire water source should be electrocuted??
Please reply Izuna sama....
I've added a section about the Range in my first post.

Please explain why you have doubts?
It's not because you were trained a certain way that's right, unfortunately.
I've explained why it would react that way (look at my post above), so please prove me wrong.

Re: Elemental Combinations
One question sensei, can there be a 3-way elemental jutsu technique? Like an earth tech that needs water to make it more powerful. You use a water technique to make it powerful. So, can you use to make it even more powerful since there's water in it? water + earth + lightning= 3 way elemental combination jutsu?

Re: Elemental Combinations
Hey, I always wondered...You know how when a C-rank Offensive Lightning hits an A-rank Offensive A-rank jutsu, the earth probably wins although the elemental advantage. (This statement actually doesn't matter but it does support what I am going to say)...My question is, if the enemy releases a jutsu like this :
(Katon: Hiendan) – Fire Release: Soaring Flame Bullet
While I release :
(Fūton: Shinkū Renpa) – Wind Release: Serial Waves
The enemy would say his flames absorb my technique and hence a S-rank flame jutsu, and I am like (Metaphorically, the enemy is guy in the picture who says 'All good' while I am like 'Wtf, who is this guy saying he can do this >_>') :

I'm not sure if 3 ways elemental combo exist, but you have to take into account that one of the element will most likely neutralize one of the other 2. In your example, the lightning would play against the earth.

I've stated my opinion on this in the first post. I belive your wind would over power the fire. I'll edit my first post to put another explanation on the matter.

Re: Elemental Combinations
wouldn't mixing water release and earth release make wood release, because that's how danzo, hashirama, and yamato originally did it

Re: Elemental Combinations
Just about the relation of fire and lightning:
Although not often used due to some restrictions with Storm Release, technically adding heat to a cloud does create a thunder cloud. A prime example of this combination is the jutsu Kirin, which requires that the atmospheric pressure be increased beforehand.

Re: Elemental Combinations
Izuna Uchiha is right about the fire vs wind, and the size vs rank (imo)
Look at it like this fire=wrecking ball in motion and wind=a building the wrecking ball will tear thru the building (overpowering it) but I will be slowed down greatly.
Wit the same situation rasengan=wrecking ball and water dragon=a building....the ball will make a large hole no doubt but afterwards the building would cave-in around the ball and it would need to be pulled out
Hope I made sense

Re: Elemental Combinations
what if you combine a c-rank move with an A-rank move what do you get a stronger A rank move?

Re: Elemental Combinations
I agree with your charts of range but disagree with your example. Lightning doesn't simply "electrify" the water, it is a sharp and fast element, and combinations with it will result in fast and sharp jutsus. The Water bullet vs the Lightning Jutsu could, ina way, make the water spin faster, thus allowing it to travel longer. So I think we should stick with the table in all cases (well, this can change, but not with your example, IMO)

Well in RL fire is put out by a strong enough application of air as the fire burns out with all the new oxygen. But any application of air that is not sufficient to extinguish the fire it would only enlarge it. Obv i refer to RL
btw Izuna this is an awesome thread (saved to my profile ) thanks

That's a small flame, a huge blast of fire mixed with wind is what causes House fires to spread from house to house and forest fires to go so far
