i truly wished it was garra, though if garra knew taijutsu, then i would say garra.

Gaara's affinity is wind, however sasuke would win as shown right when sasuke had only just learnt chidori he pierced though gaara's defence.

Sasuke has far surpassed Gaara ever sense he unlocked curse mark lvl2,trained with Oruchimaru to widen the gap even further,and made it its furthest when he got his mongekyo sharingan.But besides that he would be able to defeat Gaara because of his speed and power,The only chance Gaara would have would be beacause of his sand's ability to withstand the amaterasu.....I choose Sasuke.

In all reality as of what we have seen lately as both characters have grown, Sasuke would have the upper-hand since having lightening techniques. However, this doesnt mean automatic defeat as Garra has many tricks up his sleeve and giant sand waves. If Sasuke didn't have lightening tech. I do think Garra would own him.

N frm wht ive seen gaara's sand has proved to block lighning attacks at the summit, Even Amatatusu Could not get through it, And the speed of it as well has increased. Sasuke has not surpassed Gaara at all, Maybe in the absolute defense but battle wise, NAW. We havent even see how much gaara has grown after the time skip to the war. In my opinion iWould it would be a TIE, Sasuke is powerful and gaara is powerful, The battle would be interesting, Dont just say O well earth is weak against lightning so sasuke wins, NO ! He may have the advantage but that dose not mean he won automatically.
