[Theory] Itachi's gift

i was going through the different threads of what itachis gift could be and in doing so thought up a theory of my own.
the gift is if one kills the other he will die too,thats also why itachi smiled when naruto said he was more of a brother to sasuke than itachi was.
the way that naruto talked to sasuke on there last encounter made me think that maybe naruto already figured out what the gift was.

Your theory has whatsoever no solid reasoning behind it. Naruto's goal is, how can be become a hokage if he can't even save a friend, and if he can't save sasuke then he won't be acquiring his dream, and that's basically "dying with him."

No I don't think that the gift is the death of both of them that doesn't make sense, plus if you've watched the lastest Anime episode it's to the part where the toads are talking about giving Naruto the key......They say that they've seen a profesy that had Naruto in it and then asked if he saw it to.....The flashback showed him and Sasuke in that talk where he says they will both die, so that means he saw it and that it wasn't given by Itachi

not just that .. i dont remember the manga episode this was in.. but when madara goes to nagatos body to retrieve the rinnegan.. he says that the "uzumaki" clan with their 'red hair' were the third power of the rikudu .. so Naruto Effectively possesses all 3 powers of the rikudu.. being the descendant of senju, uchicha powers from itachi.. and descendant from the uzumaki clan, ie, kushina, her mother(who as observed by yondaime hokage, had beautiful red hair)

Doubt it, closest thing i think would be the gift has something to do with killing the darkness in Sasuke.

another NB member thinks its the 3rd treasure, which is a jewel that purifies the soul of darkness.

So Im gonna guess only someone with a pure heart free of darkness can use it IE Naruto .

I suspect Itachi's gift to be .

1. The 3rd treasure that will kill sasukes darkness or sorta like a space/time genjutsu that will force Evil Sasuke to fight Good sasuke

2. a Genjutsu that will show more details on Uchiha Massacre, Such as Madara manipulated Fugaku into organizing the coup de tet .

3. when Sasuke & Naruto do a Rasengan vs chidori clash at EMS & Rikudo mode lvl. "Itachi's Gift" of a Tsukiyomi that will do a Yugioh and bring Sasuke & Naruto back in time to see elder son vs younger son . After this, another Chidori vs Rasengan in which Naruto wins. Sasuke realizes he needs to stop .

in Itachi's view Sasuke = Life .

If Naruto told Itachi he was gonna kill Sasuke, Im 75% sure Itachi would of killed or captured Naruto that day, in order to protect Sasuke.

Naruto pretty much controls the Nine Tails...the Kyuubi's just being a prick but he's warming up to Naruto himself. Madara controlled the Kyuubi before getting Hashirama's DNA, Hashirama had the Kyuubi w/o any Uchihaness.

Nah, I think Itachi sorta felt that if it was necessary, Naruto should kill him, remember he caled Naruto naive for saying that he'd stop sasuke w/o killing him, then Itachi said something about sacrifices

Naruto doesn't know what Itachi gave him, and he already told Sasuke that if they fight they'd both die. So there would be no use in Itachi's "power" if Naruto already did that step without Itachi's help.

The theory with the jewel is highly possible. Kishi made use of many ancient japanese items of great power and this jewel fits perfectly in the story. Sasuke's soul is engulfed in darkness a darkness so dire that he can't even see through it.
Deep within his heart Sasuke has the same feelings towards Naruto and Sakura as they have towards him but he can't see it because he is being manipulated by the hatred he built up over the years and which both, Orochimaru and Madara, made use of for their own wicked reasons.
Not even Naruto's talk no jutsu can get through to him and even when Sasuke's heart is directly confronted by clashing with Naruto he won't admit his feelings so something more powerful is necessary and that's the jewel. Purifying him forever from the hatred. I think Itachi knew about the history of hatred that imbued his clan. That's also the reason why he didn't give a damn about his clan but about the village which he regards as more valuable.

I highly doubt the gift is that... the gift in my opinion is probabally something to help defeat itachi and nagato in the upcoming battle. probabally some flaw in susanno or the mangekyo that itachi told naruto.

I think Itachi's gift is rinnegan. Tobi ''gave'' rinnegans to Nagato. SO6P had two sons, older son had the Sage's eyes and younger had the Sage's body, so Uchihas are like Sage's older son and Senjus are like Sage's younger son. Nagato is from Uzumaki clan like Naruto and they are related to Senjus, so they have the ''Sage's body''. So to awake rinnegan you need both Senju's and Uchiha's DNA and to see someone close you dying like Nagato did. Itachi gave Naruto some of his power Uchiha's power, so he can awake rinnegans someday. I think that Naruto will see Bee dying, when they'll fight Itachi and Nagato and Naruto will probably awake rinnegans.
