Why people hate Sasuke so much?

There are 2 types of arrogants:

1 - the ones who are nothing and think they are everything

2 - the ones who have something or everything and think they are everything.

Sasuke is in the second type. I have to admit it although I am a Narutofan. He is powerful, he has Sharingan, he has reasons to believe he's better.

The second type is worse.

I mean both types are useless to society but at least when the first type of arrogant person goes around belittling others to make themselves feel better and feel like they are "everything," nobody actually feels belittled because like you stated, they are nothing and everybody sees it.

The second type actually makes people feel like shit because the truth hurts.

First of all: let me put this situations to your faces:

Number 1: You were lead to believe that your whole freaking clan got massacred by your own brother.

Number 2: You had to leave alone and fend off by yourself because, your clan included your parents (DUH!)

Number 3: Because of this you ended up having your own world and resist advances from girls because you know, that they won't know what you really feel even if you'll be honest.

Number 4: You're best friend is the most retarded ninja in your village and you've held the shame of kissing him.

Number 5: You find out that your brother is back and now hes in a group of murderers.

Number 6: Even though you trained your ass off, your brother is still stornger and beats you down without breaking a sweat.

Number 7: You were led to believe that the only way to get stronger is to train with the vilage's worst traitor, for this man killed the village leader.

Number 8: After a wicked long number of fillers you finally come back and kill the same person you were training with

Nmuber 9: You face off once again with your own brother and know this time your gonna win

Number 10: Your brother dies because of exhaustion. Somehow you dont feel satisfied

Number 11: The leader of the Murderer's your brother was in told you the real hard truth: That your brother loved you will all his heart and the reason he killed the whole clan was because of the fact that your clan betrayed the village.

Number 12: Guess what? Youjust killed the only person who honestly really CARED about you.

Now any sane person will be like Sasuke right now even if they just experienced half of all the things that happened to him.

Naruto is the main character of the story and every character needs an opposite. Sasuke is Naruto's foil, they make each other stronger. If Naruto had'nt gained ground on the competition btw them, Sasuke would probably not feel the need to seek out Orochimaru. Vice Vesa for Naruto, if Sasuke did'nt abandon their bond he would stay the same and would'nt feel the need to progress at a fast rate. Honestly, from the beginning I disliked Sasuke because he just outshined Naruto in every way. It made me feel sorry for Naruto, I felt a connection with his character more than any other within the story. This is the purpose of Sasuke's character, we are suposed to feel some type of opposition towards him.
