Cirque Du Freak series by Darren Shan
House of Night series by P.C. Cast & Kristin Cast
Hunger Games Series by Suzanne Collins
I love anything from R.L Stine!! :D
there are tons more books that I'm too lazy to name
I don't have one specific favorite
there are is also this one book I'll never forget called The Music of Dolphins by Karen Hesse
it's kinda childish but it was a very good read and I highly recommend it if you like drama-ish type books ^.^

I love soooo many books... But some of my favorites:
Harry Potter Series- JK Rowling (Grew up with it, I can't not love it
)
The Mermaid Chair- Sue Monk Kidd
The Lovely Bones- Alice Sebold
The Road- Cormac McCarthy
Who Killed My Daughter?- Lois Duncan
And anything written by Stephen King (or Richard Bachman for that matter)
Also, he has written short stories, but not full length books, but I love Edgar Allan Poe's works.

Mmm Harry Potter is my favourite series of all time, I think it's because I read it at such an impressionable age, because I'm certain I've read other book with better character development and even a better more complicated, sticky story line.. but Harry is dear and close to my heart.. I also have an abject fondness of Artemis Fowl
