if the crow was the gift then maybe the crow gives Naruto 1 of 2 things: either it gives him sharingan, or it gives him Itachi's genjutsu

The crow probably reacts to when someone tries to use MS Naruto, since it was originally intended to be a weapon of some sort against Sasuke, but since Sasuke has EMS now, I don't think it will work. Maybe it seals away doujutsu powers, so it'll seal away Itachis sharingan completely.

We haven't seen Sasuke activate MS against Naruto, everytime Sasuke has MS, Naruto aint there, like Sasuke vs Kakashi, Naruto appeared shortly after Sasukes MS deactivated.
Itachi asked Naruto what he would do if Sasuke was to attack Konoha, Naruto said he'll save Sasuke AND he'll save Konoha, thats when Itachi gave him the Crow. Probably for Naruto to be able to stop Sasuke without killing him, in other words, sealing away his sharingan.


It doesn't react to Kakashi's MS because it is never aimed at Naruto .

And I think its one-time only use. It's seal away Itachis doujutsu and Naruto will face against Sasuke with EMS without interruptions.

Sweet chapter... It's funny to see Naruto consider Nagato in such a light manner depsite him killing Jiraiya... he's quite the stand up guy... Love the banter between Him and Nagato! "since when did you start making jokes" xD

So Itachi's story was true... not that I ever really doubted it... but what did Madara know? I thought he already knew about the coup'...

It's too early to say they'll go down easily... Itachi hasn't pulled out his sasunoo yet... this is just the warm up session... I wonder if he has any more information to tell anyone... ALSO we might get to see Itachi's full on power as let's face it... He must have held back on Sasuke a little bit...

And WOOT! I wasn't expecting to see Itachi's gift activate until the Naruto vs Sasuke fight... but I have a feeling now that it activates when up against a sharingan or MS!

Wait and see.. it's too early to say much. I guess you are speculatying it according to that ametasrasu of Sasuke which was activated as soon as he saw Madara.

Madara has not shown his sharigan face without mask to Sasuke or had he- we do not know..

whoa you see the sharingan on the crow i think thats how sasuke's eyes are going to look like because that was itachi's power while he was alive and its reacting to his M.Sharingan which means itachi knew that madara could corrupt sasuke so he left insurance so that his eyes won't be use by madara.

I meant like hence Naruto hasn't been trained in Genjutsu, so when he'll stands up to an opponent with MS it will seal it, or something. Yes, I said Itachi, but he's also a MS user so I used him in this fight as an MS user.

I don't think naruto saying it triggered the crow, when itachi jumped on the the crazy big bird he then was heading straight for naruto and then while looking at him he said lets see what will happen. I think that naruto looking at the mangekyou makes the crow come out just like sasuke looking into madaras sharingan. I think also there was a bad translation problem because "Is this Crow That Time's...!?" just doesnt make sense. I am just sooo stoked though. That crow defiantly has a sharingan and I wonder will naruto get it or will it just help seal like everyone else said.

The main point is, that crow will act as a seal. It will either seal Itachi's powers off(I meant by sealing the eye), or it will seal the techniques off from an MS user.

This was a great chapter and I agree with most of you that the gift itachi gave naruto is a sealing jutsu but the thing is will madara and the new six get to the battle before itachi can give naruto more detail just wondering.
