Anyways, you could give some other details (Your whole situation details, your other skills, experience in football, your lifestyle, some more about your school and coach ect..). It's hard to make a decision with this little detail you're giving.

don't worry about it, just move on, If its american football, quit and go join rugby, its like american football but its harder to play, and you don't use padding, cause british people are solid

This is more of a personal issue and should be in chatterbox.

The coaches don't look at someones speed to give them a first team spot on the squad. These are invalid points and if I were the coach would've done the same thing. I don't know the full story behind it but maybe you telling us everything would make it a lot easier.

In making a good impression you have to adapt the style of game they play, focus and work as a team. The speed is a factor but hey it's gonna get you in any first team. Their are tons of top class athletes around the world who posses more than just speed but they don't get much chances to play.

OK, This is a small school with not alot of players, he depends on speed which I have but all he cares about is his other star athletes that hes known for years. Theres not much more to tell. The coach is a one sided man and its kinda stupid that the rest dont even get noticed.
