If Kakashi dies in the next manga chapter or so, we'll never learn how he achieved MS.
As far as I know, it hasn't been revealed yet.
Also, he won't get a chance to teach Naruto about yin/yang chakra.

I think he got MS by "killing" obito, or maybe he was forced to kill rin some other time, I think the entire kakashi gaiden was merely meant to explain how he got Sharingan and to explain How he got MS later, by telling the tail on how he killed Obito.
If it isn't explained yet, then it will probably be explained in a flash back(like kibabeast has said) and I think he will probably learn Ying and Yang from like the sage frog's or the Scroll, or maybe even from just his friends like Sakura, and Shikamaru.

I think he got the MS during the time skip. Not during the Kakashi Gaiden. He only acquired the Sharingan when Obito died. Originally Posted by Neutrino00
