What did you guys expect? Itachi and Sasukes mangekyou sharingan both looked terrible to begin with so combining them isn't going to all of the sudden make it look great. Were not going to see an all new eye design because it's a merging of the two pair of eyes. Originally Posted by Jonathon

I would say his EMS looks overly complex because of how complicated Sasuke's base MS was and the fact that we know it would have to be fused with Itachi's. Really, I think Kishi should have drawn his EMS at the same time he drew Sasuke's MS, and maybe he did to get the best fusion like Madara's, not sure. I'm sure we'll grow to accept it or more. Those that like it, they're already set. Given that, I'd like to look at it some more and see if I like it more. I'll probably just accept it pretty quickly especially as Sasuke appears to be quite powered up.
Was that an Ameratsu covered shield in the right hand of his Susanoo? I'm also wondering if his Susanoo will always be covered in Ameratsu or if that's part of his whole darkness thing or has to do with more with his Enton (i.e. blaze) release.
