You all have failed to see the connection! this scene reminds me of when J-may all of a sudden was talking to Minato, remember right before he died he talked to Minato about how he sucked and he corrected him and then when on as a past memory, but that gave J-man the strength to write down the clue to Pein's secret. Now this is the same thing only different scenario, I say he is thinking this because he believes he's gonna die, but his Dad will tell him of how he almost died but saved his friends that day when he was called trash and Kakashi will remember all of Konoha and how he is needed and will gather strength out of no where and do one last thing to evade the attack this eventually making him lose consciousness but gaining him enough time for a DYNAMIC ENTRY!!!!!!!!!!!

when jirayia died he remembered something that really happened.....his conversation with minato...but now this couldn't happen cause kakashi was still a kid when his father died so this can't be a memory..anyway I hope he won't die

if kakashi lives( which i hope he will), i feel that someone else relevant to the story will take his place. i say: team gai with the dynamic entry, lee and ten ten retrieve guy and transport him to a healer slug, gai amd neji stay to keep up the fight. gai gets mauled and neji gets banged up badly. for someone important( or plural) not to die in this invasion would step in the face of all i know about kishi's way of doing things. it's time for the new blood and someone/s will have to step aside forcefully.
