nobody knows if his right eye was beyond salvaging, if someone throws a rock at your head and you close your eyes and it hits one of them while its closed, im sure you it might hurt, but you will undoubtedly be able to see again.

DUDE!!! did u see the size of that boulder!!! if something like that drops on half ur body you can kiss that half goodbye...let alone your whole body. There is no salvaging...its beyound repair. a boulder like that could crush anybody's skull...if your skull is crused then there is no doubt your eye is crused as well. There should be no argument on whether or not, the eye is made up of softer tissue than the skull.

To be honest i found it rather amusingly unrealistic that he was still alive after half his body was crushed with a boulder including half his head.
