¤ Grand Winter RP Tournament Rules and Brackets ¤

    BASIC RULES

    • You can only use the bio you posted in your application or an update that dates from before the start of the tournament

    • By default, the basic universal battle rules will be applied. For this tournament, every member has Kage rank by default, including those ranked higher.

    • All players start mid-range from each other in a plain field with a 50m radius with a river encircling it.

    • A battle lasts max one week with a 3-day reply limit. Each member is able to use anything they have had access to since the start of the tournament.

    • The person who is listed first in the match-up in this thread will always start the battle

    • The fights are held in the Battle Tests section

    • During the group stage there is always one person each battle round that doesn't fight due to an odd number of fighters
    PRIZES

    • The prizes and abilities able to be obtained in this tournament are divided into 5 tiers, 1 being the lowest and 5 the highest. The winner of this tournament is able to obtain one pick from Tier 5 or the Special Tier and two other picks, though one must be from tier 3 and below. Only one of these picks can be a restricted biography. Second place is able to pick 1 prize from Tier 3 and down, and one from Tier 4. Third place is able to pick 2 prizes from Tier 3 and below. The final victor also receives the tournament award

    • If a prize has rules pertaining to the bios that can gain it (like the 7SM, Sound Release, or EIG), you need to be sure that the bio you are entering the tournament with can have it otherwise you can't claim the prize. If you want to claim the restricted bio prize, you need to be sure you're eligible fully for the bio as you won't be granted any waiting time to drop a bio once the tournament ends. You need to be sure that by the time you finish the tournament, you can drop the required bios and that you fulfill all the requirements for the restricted bio you're claiming. Brackets for the tournament can be found below:

The member on the top of each bracket will make the battle thread for their respective round. The thread titles will be as be made using the appropriate prefix and the thread titles of [Grand RP Tourney] - X vs. Y where X represents the name at the top of the bracket. For example, Ushiro vs Ryoma. Ushiro is listed first should the thread would be made with the title of [Grand RP Tourney] - Ushiro vs Ryoma. Don't forget that judging, complaints, discussions, etc are to be held in the specific thread made for that purpose through the assorted template and not through the fight threads. You can, of course, work the issues with your opponent outside the battle threads.

Thread maker will post the thread, rules and their bio followed by a post from their opponent. Threads can start being made December 28th at 12:00PM GMT -5 and will end 7 days later, on January 4th.
