(スペルビ スクアーロ), Superbi Squalo
Name:Superbi Squalo (スペルビ スクアーロ)
Nickname:10th Vongola Rain Guardian(candidate)|Squ-chan|Vino|Pride
Looks:Superbi Squalo is a young man with long, delicate, snow white hair reaching past his shoulders; He stands at average height, and has a well-conditioned build, with an excellent balance between flexibility, agility, and muscle mass, ideal for someone his age. He has dark gray eyes, remarked for their mesmerizing depth and an almost unnatural glow; Some comment that his gaze speaks of enervation. Squalo has fair, marble white skin coupled with an expression of superiority, confidence, and nonchalance that near permanently embellish his face; His features bestow an air of aristocracy.
Though he often alternates between outfits, Squalo’s usual attire consists of a hooded jacket, lined with tan horizontal stripes across the arms and tan patterns running vertically down the sides of torso, with a matching pair of trousers and black boots. The hood itself is lined with snow white fur, and in accordance with this he wears a specially made visor around his neck with lenses that automatically adapt to the intensity of the light. Squalo wears his katana along his back on a sash that runs from his right shoulder to left hip. The blade itself is a work of art, crafted by a master sword smith form the Land of Iron. Coveted by many, it was considered a national treasure among the samurai, until Squalo procured it from the corpse of its former owner.
His more casual wear consists of a light blue keigoki under an ordinary black coat - usually left un-zipped – and tucked into a pair of tan trousers. To complete this outfit, he would wear a simple pair of traditional Japanese geta. Concealed within his clothing while still easily accessible, he carries a number of scrolls containing some of the more basic provisions paramount to survival, standard ninja tools, along with a few of his more preferred unorthodox trinkets.
Personality:Squalo possesses an abstruse, somewhat paradoxical personality. Ostensibly, he maintains a loud, ignorant, and somewhat oblivious attitude, and as a result, a majority of the people in his circle tend to express exasperation. Under most circumstances, unless absolutely necessary, he tends to express a reluctance to fight – More often than not, this is seen as an act of cowardice and not one of his more redeeming traits; However, he will on occasion contradict himself. Though not obvious from a superficial point of view, all of the aforementioned character traits are nothing more than an elaborate ruse contrived by Squalo himself – In reality, he is a skilled assassin.
More often than not, he is referred to as the enigmatic “Vino,” the epithet referencing to the way he brutally mutilates his targets, leaving them caked in a layer of their own blood as if soaked in wine – Vino being the name of an Italian wine. Ever since a young age, he has developed an insatiable lust that could only be quenched by the blood of someone who was on par with or superior to him in terms of strength – Any sign of weakness is considered unacceptable. His methods are renowned for being excessively grueling as a result of his underlying obsession with efficiency. Squalo has the mental stability to shrug off ordinary psychological insecurities and feel no guilt when killing, while maintaining a charmingly charismatic attitude. Men, women and children – None are exempt from his treatment. He maintains a firm conviction in his combat abilities; He has faith that he can accomplish anything, so long as he believes it possible. He is a schizophrenic solipsist with a twisted sense of justice; His mind is the only thing sure to exist and as such, he is considered to be without fear. He is also a very shrewd person and whether apparent or not, his guard is always up. Although perceiving him as a monster or a menace is accurate in a number of ways, he is not without his own sense of humanity.

"Mercy and compassion are virtues that only the strong are privileged to possess - And I am strong."
The world was a nesting ground, a cesspool of vices that tipped the scales wherever you looked and swallowed you alive where you didn’t. It was a tired little place, too much water, too much dust, and far too many people who never meant what they said; Yet if you asked him, he would explain how remarkably taken he was with his world.
This world was where he came to develop a curious attachment to an extremist, whose large facial scars marked his past experiences and losses on the battlefield. It was also where he met a surprisingly dim-witted oaf with an annoying grasp on life and whose jokes were remarkably tasteless, along with a revered father figure shinobi who educated him on how to fully utilize his natural gifts - gifts that he used with staunch precision on countless battlefields, earning a name for himself in the process.
And then there was his prey, someone who could very well be considered one of the biggest wastes of breathing space that had ever lived, taking on the form of dead fish eyes and unkempt, naturally permed white hair. A man who was weak in both body and soul, bound by worthless ideals, yet was able to overcome impossible odds – calling on a thing called “bushido” to stand every time he’d been crushed; As a man who preferred to save his favorite part of a meal for last, he had reserved his fight with the samurai until the near future.
In the end, nothing really mattered except to acknowledge a heritage that spanned generations of carnage. You could dig into your veins until the ground ran red but it was pure fact that if you were born a Vongola, you damn well died as one too.
In another world, it rained.
It rained from the dingy pipes that crisscrossed above in a dystopian portrayal of sky; it rained from the guts of tarnished heroes and from the cracks in his former sensei’s engorged irises. A teenage Squalo had attempted to revive a long abandoned rite of passage which would involve robbing a man - His sensei of his life.
“Squalo!,” the man shrieked, his voice a far cry from the gruff, burly tone those close to him were used to. His arm jerked with the precision of a Gatling gun, the tip of his sword stabbing at Squalo from multiple frontal positions.
Squalo dodged all of his attacks with the ease of someone who was used to a much more lethal and rapid assault. His movements appeared sluggish in Squalo’s eyes, even the way his mouth unleashed a barrage of lecturing comments and taunts had an underwater quality to it. He swooped in and dealt a right hook to the side of his sensei’s face, his own blasé expression failing to mask apparent disappointment.
And then he sighed. His sensei had long forgotten what it meant to be a warrior. Once a feared man, he was now old, feeble, and bound by worthless family ties, these being considered signs of his weakness - And any sign of weakness was unacceptable. Along with all of his hair follicles, the beast within this man was long dead. What was it going to take to finish him off once and for all? How could he muster the strength to stand even after being crushed time after time? He withdrew momentarily and indicated towards a pile of bloodied corpses in the engine room that had served as their makeshift battlefield. One of the body’s, still barely alive, sporting a dirty blonde hair color.
As a final taunt, Squalo plunged the tip of his blade dead center through the man’s back, mercilessly killing him where he lay. Unable to ignore this, the man summoned his remaining strength in an attempt to silence the boy, Squalo, once and for all – Though his efforts were in vain. Ignorant to his student’s true nature, he never stood a chance.
After cementing his position on the battlefield, Squalo began to hunt down and eliminate the world’s most revered shinobi one by one.
Years later, in Kirigakure, blood and rain ran together, but Squalo could hardly feel the sting of salt and blood in his eyes – He hardly felt anything at all, aside from unbridled euphoria, his mouth twisting into a smile that reached so far beyond his ears that it gave off the impression of some sort of maniacal clown or joker.
He chained one attack after the other, relentless in his assault. It was in fact a fight to the death, and Squalo showed no mercy – His opponent, boss of the Varia assassination unit, a hulking man named Tyr.
Down to the very fibers of his being, Squalo’s lust for the blood of someone stronger than him was insatiable - And it was because of this, that he felt more alive than ever at this moment, when his hands were stained in the blood of someone so revered.
After a two day long battle, Tyr’s resolve began to waver. In a swift and convulsive motion, using everything he’d learned up until that point, he managed to tear Tyr’s limb from its socket, dismembering his left arm completely. It was this that gave him the opportunity he needed to eliminate the man once and for all and reign supreme as a ‘bushin.’
Nekura Granted Abilities:The abilities of the Nekura center on the summoning and control of this foul chakra of the Juubi's, that the clan calls "Keigoku".
The chakra is warped from the moon by a clansman opening the dimesional portal, through which the chakra enters the battlefield. This is much like a Summoning jutsu, which brings objects from a different place through dimensions. The portals can be opened anywhere on the battlefield. However, note that they cannot be used for transporting the user, opponent etc. over dimensions. Only Keigoku can transport itself through the portals. The portals are silent and do not actually count as a jutsu, however the release of a Keigoku technique from them is a jutsu; furthermore, it's not as if the portals possess any use outside of transporting Keigoku anyway.
The power of the Keigoku, however, is not to directly affect physical objects. The Keigoku is so corrupted, that it causes searing pain to an opponent's mind if they have been touched with the energy. Much like how prolonged exposure to a fire can cause extreme burns, prolonged exposure to high-rank Keigoku techniques can cause a complete shattering of the mind and possibly a vegetative state. This also lets the Keigoku pass through physical substances without minds, such as earth, water or trees to reach a target behind it, since it loses none of its powers on the non-sentient object. Should the Keigoku touch a Summoning, it will turn them against its master.
Skilled users of Keigoku have been rumored to shift its focus from merely shattering minds to bending them or manipulating them with even direct eye contact initiating a transfer of Keigoku between people. However, this can only be done by extremely high-level Nekura and requires special training from the Clan Head.
Similarly, skilled Nekura above a certain rank possess one of the most useful powers. The Drain. Once one of their Keigoku attacks have connected with the opponent, istead of letting their Keigoku dissipate, the Nekura bring the Keigoku back to them and pour the stolen strength from the opponent's mind into theirs. This firms up their mind, and even if they have injuries makes their mind pretend it isn't there and force the body to function as it normall would. Since this isn't really a cure, after the battle the Nekura will feel their injuries again plus an extra 25 damage points due to the strain of forcing their body. As many damage points as the opponent is hit with, that many damage points the user may force their mind to believe it isn't affecting their body.
Another side-effect of wielding the Keigoku is that any Bijuu, whether incompletely or fully transformed, believe the Nekura to be one of "them" since the Nekura wield the same chakra that the Bijuu were made of - just not in the same amounts. The Bijuu therefore refuse to attack the Nekura.
An unwanted ability is that of the Nekura's bodies, after or during a battle, being so filled with Keigoku that they reject any foreign chakra from entering their body, and stop it instantly. This means that medical ninjutsu have to force harder to overcome the natural resistance, making Nekura extremely hard to heal, roughly three times that of a normal patient.
Water & Lightning:Over the years, Squalo discovered that he had an aptitude for the Lightning and Water elements - He favors their use in battle amongst all the other elements. Having developed his skills with the water element particularly, he is capable of performing them with a single handseal.
Taijutsu:At a young age, Squalo had developed a curiosity and passion for Martial Arts. Through years of strenuous training, and battle experience he became capable of better perceiving the motions of his enemy, and reacting accordingly to the most subtle of movements.
