Qilin Uchiha 麒麟サスケ
Name:Qilin Uchiha 麒麟サスケ
Looks:Qilin is tan skinned young man with shoulder length black curly hair, that he often has braided to prevent it from getting in his brown eyes. He stands at 1.82 meters tall, weighing 84 kg, and has muscular athletic build. There are several scars on his body that were caused by his daredevil antics. He wears custom gauntlets with steel plates located on the back of the hand, palm, knuckles, and inside of the fingers up to the first joint. These plates are placed in a way that they do not hinder the movement of his fingers or hands when bending them. The plates on his knuckles are also slightly sharpened, although they are only half an inch tall. The rest of the gauntlets have metal plates covering the dorsal side of his arm, similar to the one’s Anbu of Konoha have been seen wearing. A two chokuto with rectangular guards are strapped to his back so they can be drawn over each shoulder. His actual clothing consists of the traditional Jonin flak jacket, but with the Uchiha crest on the back, with no undershirt and pants similar to the Jonin garb as well. He made a pair of sneakers with the Konoha and Uchiha crests to wear due to him not liking sandals. A pouch for scrolls is located on his back located at waist level and he carries a ninja tool pouch on each leg.
Personality:Qilin is a fun loving dare devil. He is always trying to perform random feats to prove that he can do anything, even if those things can cause him harm. This fearless attitude has led him to try anything as long as it can prove his abilities. He loves to play around and is sometimes too playful, making people angry with his antics. Despite this, he is able to determine instances where a more serious attitude is needed. While he tries his best to control it, he is rather quick to anger. He will try to just deal with whatever life throws at him, but he tends to store and suppress his rage until something pushes him over the edge. At that point, his change from the happy, laughable Q to the burning fury of a pissed off Qilin is so abrupt that it can take many people aback. One can describe Q as a fire, warm and bringing light when controlled, but destroying everything in its path if not kept in check.
Village of Birth:Konohagakure
Village of Alliance:N/A
History:Mentally, Qilin is not from this dimension. The first 19 years of his life, he lived in a place where ninjutsu did not exist and his name was Quinten. Due to this, technology eventually dominated everyday life and warfare. Quinten was an athlete. He participated in football, wrestling, and track but had a certain fondness for martial arts. He aspired to be a physician with a specialty in neurology. The brain always fascinated Quinten. Everything in the body controlled by electrical energy carefully coordinated and controlled was marvelous in his eyes.
The influence of the Narutoverse did not completely elude his “home” dimension however. Somehow, a mangaka was unknowingly able to peer into the Narutoverse through his mind’s eye. He chalked this up to his imagination and wrote the manga Naruto. Quinten loved the story and world of Naruto, often fantasizing what his life would be like if he were a ninja with such awesome powers. He was especially fascinated by the clan Uchiha. He just knew that if he were in the ninja world, he would be blessed with the great dojutsu of Sharingan.
One night, Quinten decided to try a type of meditation called lucid dreaming. He relaxed his body but focused to keep his mind conscious. He achieved this lucid dreaming state, staring down at his own body as he floated above it. He was then able to fly out at insane speeds into the “cosmos” of this dream land. He noticed that strange swirling discs of light, reminding him of miniature galaxies, inhabited this space. While they didn’t appear much bigger than him, they radiated a seemingly vast presence in their depths. They were all the same yet somehow different, like links in a chain with each their own unique differences that could only be observed by peering into the minute details that compromised the vast existence they contained. As he pondered these phenomenon, he noticed he was drawn to certain disc. He did not know why, but he felt a longing for what it contained. He could almost describe it a hunger, a hole inside of him that had yet to be filled. This contained just the thing that could fill that hole, that longing. Quinten could not resist his urges and dove head first into the hole.
He felt like his very being was torn apart and reassimilated. The pain was intense but Quinten endured, always being described as having a higher pain tolerance than most. Despite that, Quinten felt his mind begin to slip away due to the pain he felt. He knew if he let this happen that he would truly be lost; existing, yet not existing, in the void that stood between each of the light discs he observed. So he held on. He went to a place in his mind where he was more than just Quinten. He was warrior that was allied with the shadows. He could call upon the elements to crush his enemies. Nothing could escape sight. He was unyielding in the face of pain and unwavering in the face of adversity. He endured. He was a ninja…
Quinten awoke with a start. The light coming from his room window intensified the monster headache that he was suffering. Confused and delirious, he tried to step off of his bed to find that was on a cot on the floor. Quinten looked around and noticed he wasn’t in his bedroom at all. He was instead in some kind of traditional Japanese room. He didn’t even actually have a window; instead the sunlight was shining through the material of the wall. This place seemed very familiar to him but he just couldn’t figure why. Quinten decided to explore this area and find out why the hell he was here. He got up and found a robe nearby. The only form of footwear he found was some strange sandals. He passed these up and decided to go out barefoot, which he was used to anyway from his time playing outside without shoes as a child. He opened the sliding door and noticed that wherever he was was walled off. To his left and right were other rooms that seemed similar to his. Upon closer inspection of the wall, he noticed a symbol was painted on it at regular intervals. From a distance he thought it looked like a pokeball. He moved closer to see if he could deduce where he was by this symbol. He couldn’t believe his eyes when he realized that it was a fan; a special fan that he knew very well. It was the symbol of the Uchiha clan.
Quinten was taken aback. There was no doubting it now. He recognized this place because he had seen it before. Although the last time he had it was drawn on a piece of paper with no color. He was at the Uchiha residence. At this point Quinten thought he should feel a sense of dread, for he was nowhere near his home. How the hell was he here in this fictional area? This was pushed away however by the excitement that overwhelmed Quinten’s psyche. He started jumping up and down out of pure joy. Then another thought crossed his mind. If he truly was where he thought he was, then… Knowing the basics of chakra control, Quinten focused. He applied a type of mediation he sometimes practiced that focused on his chakras, something not so different from the chakra control in the Narutoverse he always thought. He felt something, some kind of warmth, energy. He then focused this energy to his legs and feet. Then, he jumped. Quinten jumped like he never had. He flew several meters in the air, and then landed without so much as minor pain in his legs despite the height he had fallen from. He then decided to get an even better gauge on his surroundings, hoping he would find what he thought that he would. He jumped on top of the wall surrounding the living area. The sight he had then beheld was magnificent. He was in the Hidden Leaf Village; the great Hokage monument overlooking the sheer beauty of its home. He was mesmerized by the sight when he heard a thump next to him. He looked to his left and a ninja was crouching next to him. “Qilin what are you doing? You’re late in reporting to our mission and you decide to sit on a wall in a robe? Get some clothes on before sensei kills both of us!”
Quinten learned much from this ninja. His questions brought obvious confusion to the ninja’s face. Quinten wasn’t Quinten at all, he was Qilin; a ninja of the Village Hidden in the Leaves. Not only that, he was also an Uchiha! He was born in Konoha but had decided to roam the country side at the age of 12 after his graduation from the ninja academy. Due to this, he was excluded from the Uchiha massacre that took place in his absence. He returned to his place of birth at the age of 16 to add strength to his village as a ninja. He decided to move into the home of his clan despite the horrors that had occurred there. During his time away he studied the world and strengthened his body, becoming a fine physical specimen. Now he was 19, and was needed for a mission…
Qilin, formerly Quinten, now embraces his new identity. His wildest dreams have come true and he isn’t going to waste this opportunity. He retains the memory of his other dimension and the past that he has lived in this one. Qilin has also noticed that his current body seems to be a more advanced version of his body from his previous dimension. His athleticism and pain tolerance have been retained but intensified. He took a couple of years in order to become better accustom to his slightly different body and hone his skills as a ninja. Qilin embraces his Uchiha identity, taking up the arts of kenjutsu and shuriken jutsu, using wires and rigged shuriken expertly in battle. He took a couple of years in order to master the basics of ninja to the highest level. His work on hand seal accuracy and speed allows him to expertly weave hand seals at an extreme speed.
