[Landmark 3] Kaze no Kuni Borderlands: Sand Marsh

    Sand Marsh

This small strip of borderland contains the remains of an unfinished border town meant to serve as a gathering point for merchants of River and Wind. A combination of missing funds, the breakout of the Second Shinobi World War and the discovery of quicksand in the underground convinced the Daimyō to abandon the project. The town is still populated, but the occasional flooding of a nearby river has turned the unnamed town into a ghost town sitting on a patch of marshland, a patch littered with sinkholes, wet sand and swampy puddles of water. Merchants and peasants rarely take the path through the marshland, opting instead to cross the Sandfall Bridge where travel isn’t so hazardous and slow.

    From [x].

Once the roadrunner arrives to the Sand Marsh, he opens his short wings and begins to fly across the landmark hoping he'd never have to fly again.

    Coming from: http://narutobase.net/forums/showthr...1#post21127115

Arriving just outside the small village, Ludger and Gaara survey and note of the things around them. They both move forward and stand at the front gates of the small village.

"Well Gaara, we're here. Time to investigate."

Entering the village, There were many buildings still intact after the assault specifically the tavern, shop, the chief's residence, and some homes. There was still some sand ninja around, cleaning up and so Ludger goes to talk to one of them. He asks if there are any other sand ninja present besides the ones in the center of town. This ninja seemed to be at least S-class given that he was wearing an Anbu mask. He tells Ludger that it's just him and the ones he sees in the town square. It was probably best not to split up yet since it was just the two of them and one could feel this unease in the air. Ludger has Gaara follow him to the shop as he wanted to purchase something first. Drawing blood and wiping it on his tattoo, Ludger summons a standard mole. With a comforting smile, Ludger tells the two that he will buy this young mole a pair of armored wristbands. No one would know why he was doing this and Ludger preferred to keep it that way. Should they ask for the reason, Ludger would only smile and tell them that it was a secret. This store was no ordinary and it had a lot of things from scrolls to messenger animals and ninja pets. After purchasing the right size for the mole and fitting them over his paws/arms, the team makes their way over to the chief of the village. They talk to him to see if he can give them direction. Towards the end of the conversation, Ludger obtains his permission to check the scene where the attack occurred as well as the best place to look for witnesses...Maybe.

"All right. We'll stop by the Tavern first before we check out the scene. Any objections?"

Entering the tavern, one could notice somethings. The bartender behind the counter, another room to the right, and a giant fan ornament hanging on the wall above the bartender. Ludger tells Gaara that they should talk to everyone in here. He notices that there were some patrons getting nervous once they saw the team. Ludger would motion Gaara to follow him as they talked. He would ask if he had some of the pictures of the weird symbols he gave him. They will need these while questioning people, if not, then he would give him some. However, he needed a response in order to know. They would need to handle this carefully and not make it difficult for the people in the tavern to have a hard time answering. There was really only a few things left to mention when talking to them. Ludger would tell Gaara to be sure to ask the following when interviewing the people. Ask them if they have kids. Ask them if they go to the Sand Academy and finally....If the kids have exhibited strange behavior and/or if they were carrying strange symbols on their person. There were about fifteen people in here plus the bartender and that didn't include the extra room. "Well," Ludger said, "If nothing else, we can begin. Let's split up and regroup back to this table. Check in every now and then. See who we've missed and compare notes." He points to one table on the right. It was the last one outside the extra room.

While Gaara was searching for answers so was Ludger. He managed to find a parent and confirmed that they actually have. They said it was very troubling for them. Ludger also mentions whether they have seen robed men around the village, but claim they haven't or rather are unsure. As he tells Gaara what he found, he hands him a scroll detailing the mission. (Will send you a pm.)

"Everything you need to know and be absolutely sure of is inside that scroll."

Wait, are you controlling Ludger right now?

Ludger also suggests that the team take the ones that are hard to crack out back and he'll use the interrogation genjutsu. Maybe they can obtain more than they would from just asking. Of course, they would be released from the illusion afterwards. After two attempts, Ludger and Gaara were unable to get anything out of the "suspects". They decide to stop upon seeing people leave the tavern as they saw what the two "detectives" were doing. It might've also aroused suspicion. In anycase, they couldn't stop here. Ludger tells Gaara that they should try the chief's residence. Maybe the chief knew something about the attack, the connection to the school, the robed men, and if he has any kids, they should also ask them as well since they haven't encountered any children upon arriving, and what better way to get information than to ask the main targets themselves? Before departing, Ludger asks Gaara if he needed to restock on anything.

    For reference:

( Genjutsu: Jinmon ) - Illusion Technique: Interrogation
    Rank: C
    Type: Supplementary
    Range: Short
    Chakra Cost:15
    Damage Points:30
Description: The user of this technique, upon casting on a stationary opponent with physical contact with them, is able to convince the enemy to give away information. However, this will only work on ninja two ranks lower and below than the caster.

( Genjutsu: Kai ) - Illusion Technique: Release
    Rank: C-S
    Type: Supplementary
    Range: Short
    Chakra Cost: 15-40
    Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user does one hand seal to focus and then proceeds to disturb his chakra flow by forcefully stopping it momentarily and then "spiking" his spiritual energy, unbalancing his chakra. This dispels any genjutsu set upon the user except MS Eye Techniques, Paralysis-like Genjutsu and Demonic Illusion: Toad Confrontation Chant. The effectiveness of this technique is dependent upon the skill of the user. A Jounin rank ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to C-rank. An S-class ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to B-rank. A Sannin rank ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to A-rank. A Sage rank user can dispel Genjutsu up to S-Rank. The user may use this technique through physical contact on others to dispel them from Genjutsu. The technique can only be used once per turn and the user still needs to fully follow the logic as to why he figured out it was an illusion.

Re: [Landmark 3] Kaze no Kuni Borderlands: Sand Marsh

Shifting his eyes to where he thought Gaara was standing....Gone. With a sigh, it seemed it was up to him to save the day....Again. Making his way to chief's residence after restocking on supplies, Ludger sees a guard protecting the chief's home. He talks with the guard about the situation and that he needs to talk to the chief about it. When the chief steps out of his home, he welcomes Ludger and his...mole and to follow him inside. He seemed to be a kind man and offered Ludger a seat. The inside of the home was nice but seemed more like a vacation home rather than an actual home. As they discuss the situation, chief mentions that he has two boys when asked if he has kids. They went to the sand academy and he believes they have been influenced upon discussing the symbols. As Ludger takes a sip from his cup, he notices the worried look on the chief's face as he looks at the photos. Setting the cup down on the table that was in front of them, Ludger smiles and puts the old man at ease, telling him he will solve this and asks where his kids are. He tells Ludger that they are in their rooms on Ludger's right. Right! Time to get friendly with the little scamps, he thought as he made his way to the bedrooms. Of course, he knocked. After spending some time with the kids, Acro and Sato, Ludger decides to bring up the cultists. As suspected they seemed to have come in contact with them. Ludger tells them he wishes to join and is willing to prove himself. Ludger asks them if they could take him to the group. There was hesitation to reply, but finally, they reply by saying they can't because they didn't know where they were or where they could find them. It seems another wall was placed in front of Ludger and again he ended being unable to get a location of where the cultists might be. After thanking the children, Ludger promised to visit them again. Leaving the house, Ludger bids farewell to the chief and leaves. It was time to pay a visit to the Sand Academy, only there can his questions be truly answered. At the very least, there is no mistake now that the cultists have been approaching children. Reaching the gate in order to leave, Ludger has the small village guard who was standing in front of it, to escort him and his mole. He remembered throughout the time spent with the kids and leaving, that the chief had a look of worry and sadness. That look made Ludger all the more determined to catch these guys. As he walks, already outside the village, Ludger wonders if he should send a report to the Kazekage as he looks at his mole friend. His mole friend, in turn, would look at him with innocence and confusion.

Re: [Landmark 3] Kaze no Kuni Borderlands: Sand Marsh

Sasuke has finally arrived in the Country of Wind from the Land of Rivers. Throughout his travels he has actually never been to the Land of Wind despite his past encounters with Sand Ninja as a child. However he didn't have time for sightseeing as he had a mission to complete. Gruesome as it may be, it was the Hokages orders. Sasuke's eyes turned crimson red as three tomoe swirled into existence on his pupils.

    Type: Supplementary
    Rank: A-Rank
    Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 30 ( -10 per turn to keep active )
    Damage: N/A
    Description:
One of the Three Great Dōjutsu (San Daidōjutsu), the Sharingan is the kekkei genkai of the Uchiha clan. Unlike the other Dōjutsu, not all members of the Uchiha Clan possess the Sharingan. This great Dōjutsu seems to awaken only on exceptional Uchiha members and only in times of great stress. Once awaken, the pupil turns red and a single tomoe (巴) seal appears around the center pupil. As the user masters and evolves their eyes, the tomoe (巴) seals increase, topping 3 per eye. The main ability of the Sharingan, like any other Dōjutsu, is to enable the user to see the flow of chakra. This ability is further improved as the Sharingan gives color to chakra, enabling the user to differentiate chakras from different people or from different sources. Although the user can see chakra through matter, he cannot see beyond dense matter or in long distances. Coupled with the ability to see chakra, Sharingan users gain acess to an incredible clarity of perception that enables them to read insanely fast movements or minor details, enabling them the ability to foresee in an easier way, traps, incoming attacks, etc. This clarity of perception is so great that a Sharingan user can sometimes start performing a counter to an attack that is still being performed, enabling the counter to be launched only a split a second after the attack. This clarity of perception leaves Sharingan users able to track high speed movement easily as well as to read through handseals. This last ability enables them to learn techniques much faster and sometimes copy them directly from the enemy, as long as the user has the necessary chakra affinities and requirements to perform it. Finally, the Sharingan is often linked to Genjutsu and mind-manipulating illusions, mostly because the user can, mostly through Eye Contact, directly and precisely use his chakra to manipulate the enemy's chakra flow. In return, the users clarity of perception gives him the ability to more easily decipher visual illusions cast upon him and see past them. The Sharingan has a great cost to the user though. The chakra consumption disables its use for long periods of time and, even when the user grows stronger, it's still hard to keep it active for long periods of time.
Note: The user, if he hasn't gained full mastery over his Sharingan, will need to spend a move to activate it, although as long as he has chakra and enough stamina he'll be able to keep it active until the end of the match. If the user is Sannin Rank or above and has gained his 3 Tomoe Sharingan and held it for one month, he becomes able to passively activate it, meaning he'll no longer spend a move of his 3 per turn.
Note: To avoid direct Eye Contact and be able to focus only on the body movement below the chin, the opponent needs to have mastered Taijutsu to possess the necessary skill.
Note: Predicting the nature of a technique or what it exactly is requires the user to either know the technique or that its a cannon technique.
Note: Danzo and Kakashi bios activate the Sharingan by removing the covers in their respective eyes and suffer a +10 chakra consumption per turn penalty
Note: The user is bound by the abilities and limits of the stage of sharingan he possesses, stated in the rules of the KG.

While walking through what seemed like an endless desert, Sasuke finally came across a town. It seemed rather rural from what looked like an isolated economy. People were doing maintaining livestock, trading in an nearby market, and watering plants. Kids could also be seen playing Ninja. Sadly for them it was also going to end today.

As he toured the town, a small dull wooden kunai was thrown at Sasuke by a group of nearby kids. A kid from the group as come over to retrieve the kunai as well as apologize. However Sasuke was not moved. This bratty kid actually had the audacity to touch the pure bred Uchiha prince. Such behavior could not go unpunished. Sasuke was going try and carry out his mission with minimal children casualties, but it was obvious this savage barren country did not teach their younglings any manners. Sasuke weaves the Tiger hand seal and breathes out stream of flames which consumes the children. Immediately after the children could be seen running around aimlessly while spreading their flames into the environment. Many locals has witnessed the Sasuke's blazing assault on the children. In a few seconds the town had erupted into chaos.

    Type: Offense
    Rank: C
    Range: Short-Mid
    Chakra Cost: 15
    Damage Points: 30
Description: After performing the necessary hand seals Snake → Ram → Monkey → Boar → Horse → Tiger, a ninja inhales air, and utilizing a large amount of fire chakra, spews a large fireball from their mouth after blowing through a ring made by the thumb and index finger of the user, incinerating everything in range. The fireball ignites externally. The fire ball can present itself in 2 forms: it can either be created by a stream of fire and sustained as a gigantic ball of flames in front of the user spanning up to short range or be released as a slightly smaller ball of fire which will travel towards the enemy up to mid range.

Still with the mission in mind, Sasuke unsheathed Sword of Kusanagi and ran through the crowds of people slicing and dicing anything and anyone who had the ability to draw forth air. The blood men, women, and children alike painted the town's walls and ground. The smell of iron rich blood soon filled the air. However at this rate Sasuke would be here all day killing. He had strict orders to leave no stone unturned. Sasuke climbs a tall tower in the middle of the town. He then jumps several meters into the air, weaves a hand seal, and floods the town with fire. More screams of anguish could be heard. All of the town's infrastructure was now on fire and falling. As Sasuke came back downwards he made his way to the outskirts of the town to see his blazing work of art. He would actually watch for some time before heading out to continue his mission.

    Type: Offense
    Rank: S
    Type: Offensive
    Range: Short - Long
    Chakra cost: 40
    Damage points: 80
Description: A technique where the user makes the horse hand seal and then kneads chakra inside his body which is then converted into fire and expelled from the mouth as a massive wall of intense flames, which covers an expansive range in both vertical and horizontal dimensions, making it extremely difficult to avoid. However, due to its massive width and height, the technique is not one of the fastest seen so far..

Tasuke and his Mecha stumbled upon the almost abandoned but not so abandoned Village apparently, witnessing a man slaughter innocents with Fire and Steel. How dare he. Tasuke looked at Toffee who was in the Mech with a smile, trying not to show and angry face at his enemy.

"An Uchiha - Tasuke." Toffee within the Mech readied himself at the sight of a strong Clansman. Tasuke however turn his head, looking at his opponent but not within the eyes - looking down at his chin.

"Alright you little shit, you've got my attention." Tasuke cracks his knuckles grinning, though this was not a polite, kind grin. This was the face of a Murderer and he had the Kebab to prove it. Tasuke stood upon a building with the Mech in front of him to the left tall enough to be head height to Tasuke even though he was on a Roof.
